Bombardier Defense harnesses civilian support and services network

Bombardier is leveraging its award-winning civilian support and services network to assist defense customers who need tailored solutions.

The result is Bombardier Defense Support & Services, an aftermarket team that is wholly focused on enabling government and military customers to operate their special mission Bombardier aircraft at peak performance.

The addition of this team speaks to the importance of Bombardier Defense, created in 2022 to address a growing demand for business jets to complete special missions. Bombardier Defense utilizes Bombardier’s portfolio of top-performing Challenger and Global aircraft and its extensive engineering expertise to offer solutions for a variety of special missions.

“What we can offer Defense customers goes well beyond business jets. Our worldwide support network is second to none, and our OEM expertise is unparalleled,” said Guillaume Landrivon, Vice President, Support & Services, Bombardier Defense. “We are broadening the conversation with our Defense customers at the very start of our discussions, to include how we can support them for the lifetime of the mission.”

Bombardier Defense has relationships with numerous governments and militaries, and the team has a history of collaboration with the world’s leading mission system providers. Hundreds of Bombardier aircraft are flying missions around the world, including Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), search-and-rescue (SAR), medevac, maritime patrol, Airborne Early Warning (AEW), or head-of-state transport, to name a few.

Now, the creation of the Bombardier Defense Support & Services team adds a dedicated focus on this element of the company’s defense business, leveraging Bombardier’s award-winning services and customer-focused philosophy. The range of support solutions includes parts services, dedicated personnel and Smart Services Defense—a tailored cost-per-flight-hour program designed to optimize costs and deliver full lifecycle support for military and government fleets.

“Whatever the customer needs, we will find a 360-degree solution and that will offer value by optimizing the aircraft’s performance over the long term,” Landrivon added.
