Bombardier Global 8000 earns FAA and EASA certification
The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officially certified Bombardier’s new Global 8000 on Dec. 19, 2025, clearing the way for the aircraft’s entry into service with U.S. operators. On January 23, 2026, Bombardier announced it received certification for the Global 8000 from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
As the world’s fastest civilian aircraft since the Concorde, the Global 8000 delivers a blistering top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
It is the only true four-zone business jet offering such impressive capabilities, enabling nonstop travel between more city pairs than ever before. Passengers enjoy unparalleled comfort and productivity on the Global 8000, while arriving at their destinations feeling refreshed – thanks to the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation.
“Attaining the Global 8000 certification from the FAA and EASA sets new performance standards in the industry and marks one of the final chapters in our very successful development program for this groundbreaking business jet,” said Stephen, McCullough, Executive Vice President, Engineering, Product Development and Bombardier Defense.
