Bombardier Global 8000 notches 1st speed record
In just over six hours, Bombardier’s Global 8000 aircraft travelled from Montreal to Nice, France, setting its first speed record while transporting passengers to the Monaco F1 Grand Prix.
As the world’s fastest civilian aircraft since the Concorde, the Global 8000 boasts a top speed of Mach 0.95 and an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles.
“With this speed record, the Global 8000 aircraft continues to illustrate its industry-leading attributes on all fronts, from its signature smooth ride to its outstanding performance and landing capabilities,” said Stephen McCullough, Executive Vice President, Engineering, Product Development and Bombardier Defense.
Passengers on the Global 8000 arrive at their destination feeling refreshed and revitalized, thanks to the aircraft’s lowest cabin altitude in business aviation. While cruising at 41,000 feet, passengers feel like they are at just 2,691 feet, minimizing the physiological effects of high-altitude travel.
With four true living zones in its luxuriously appointed cabin, the Global 8000 is engineered for productivity and performance. With state-of-the-art connectivity options and ergonomic seating, it delivers the ultimate environment for work and relaxation.
