Bombardier, Rolls-Royce enhance Global 5500 and Global 6500 health monitoring
This month, I'm pleased to share a significant advancement with Smart Link Plus for owners and operators of Bombardier Global 5500 and Global 6500 aircraft.
Bombardier has teamed with Rolls-Royce to offer an enhanced aircraft health monitoring program that combines our innovative Smart Link Plus box with Rolls-Royce’s new Pearl 15 engine vibration and health monitoring unit (EVHMU).
Your aircraft may be one of the 450 aircraft currently enrolled in Bombardier’s Smart Link Plus. This technology collects actionable aircraft health and performance data, helping flight and maintenance crews prioritize and troubleshoot in-flight alerts. Now, I am pleased to share that we are expanding these capabilities for Global 5500 and Global 6500 operators through the integration of Smart Link Plus with Rolls-Royce's new EVHMU for the Pearl 15 engine.
Working alongside Smart Link Plus, the EVHMU delivers about 10,000 engine performance and health parameters for the Global 5500 and Global 6500, translating into best-in-class engine availability through advanced data analytics.
Integrating Smart Link Plus with Rolls-Royce’s EVHMU helps Global 5500 and Global 6500 customers benefit from enhanced end-to-end data services, optimizing their aircraft performance while keeping maintenance costs in check.
