Bombardier has introduced improved Slat (AIPC 27-53-41) and Flap (AIPC 27-52-49) position resolvers on aircraft 60029 and subs. Several design improvements were incorporated into the new resolver (P/N GT415-5300-5) that replaces the old resolver (P/N GT415-5300-3).

Installation of the new resolver is permitted on all Global 5000/6000 family aircraft via AIPC or via the optional SBs listed below:

  • 700-27-089 (Global Express and Global Express XRS

  • 700-1A11-27-047 (Global 5000

  • 700-27-5018 (Global 5000 GVFD

  • 700-27-6018 (Global 6000

  • 700-27-5508 (Global 5500

  • 700-27-6508 (Global 6500

The new design improves reliability by introducing a more robust rotor - the rotor was prone to failure within the old resolver (P/N GT415-5300-3). The new resolver (P/N GT415-5300-5) has been in service since 2020 and is proven to be a substantially more reliable part.  The old resolver (P/N GT415-5300-3) is a significant contributor to Slat/Flap system faults on the Global 5000/6000 fleet. Incorporating new resolvers (P/N GT415-5300-5) onto your aircraft will significantly reduce the likelihood of AOG events due to Slat/Flap system faults.
