AB Jets welcomes first Challenger 3500 aircraft

Long-time Tennessee charter operator AB Jets has taken delivery of a new Bombardier Challenger 3500 aircraft—the first of three that will complement the operator’s existing fleet of nine Learjet 60 aircraft.

The trio of new super mid-size business jets will enhance options for AB Jets customers while delivering more comfort, extended range, and an uncompromising focus on safety and reliability.

Leveraging key features from Bombardier’s award-winning Global aircraft family, the Challenger 3500 is a seamless integration of design and technology, including Bombardier’s patented Nuage seat. As the new flagship of the AB Jets fleet, the Challenger 3500 will provide supplemental lift services to brokers, flight departments and operators.

“Bombardier has delivered an aircraft of absolute perfection,” said David Turner, Co-Owner and Director of Operations at AB Jets. “Our role now is to maintain it to the same standard, ensuring that every AB Jets flight in the Challenger 3500 reflects the excellence of the team that built it.”

The state-of-the-art aircraft introduces several industry-first features within its advanced cabin management system. These include voice-control, unmatched 4K cabin entertainment, first-in-class wireless chargers and a true bring-your-own-device cabin philosophy.

“Adding the new Challenger 3500 to AB Jets’ existing fleet of Learjet aircraft will provide their customers with countless new charter destination options and an exciting new world of opportunities,” concluded Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defense.
