Bombardier flies high at Farnborough International Airshow

The Bombardier team concluded a successful showing at the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow in the U.K., with several exciting milestones taking place during the July 20-24 event.
During the show, Bombardier’s Global 8000 performed its first ever aerial displays, demonstrating its impressive performance capabilities to an eager crowd.
Then, on July 21, Saudi Arabia’s The Helicopter Company announced its strategic move into business aviation, signing a letter of intent with Bombardier for up to 60 new Challenger 3500, Global 5500 and Global 8000 aircraft.

This signing also represents a significant endorsement of our aircraft, our people and our long-term commitment to supporting growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
The same day, Bombardier announced the release of its Global 8000 Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which assesses the full environmental footprint of the aircraft through its lifecycle. Bombardier is the only business jet OEM to disclose the scientifically-analyzed environmental impact of its in-production aircraft, demonstrating its commitment to a transparent sustainability strategy.
Finally, on July 22, Bombardier Defense announced it had signed a 10-year Services Support Agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, on behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces, following the recent acquisition of two Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft as part of their fleet modernization program.
The aircraft will perform a multi-role mission that includes head of state transport. They are enrolled in Bombardier’s Smart Services Defense program, which provides comprehensive cost coverage for various support needs.
Bombardier leadership held several strategic meetings throughout the week, including with Canadian ministers who attended this important show.
