Bombardier Global 7500 achieves more speed records than any other business jet
It’s official: Bombardier’s ultra-long-range Global 7500 has set 135 speed records, more than any other business aircraft in history!
This remarkable achievement includes such memorable flights as an 8,225 nautical mile flight from Sydney, Australia to Detroit, Michigan – the longest flight ever recorded in business aviation.
Boasting a top speed of Mach 0.925 and a baseline range of 7,700 nautical miles, the Global 7500 is engineered to perform. The aircraft’s unique Smooth Flĕx Wing is like an in-air shock absorber, designed with a sophisticated slats-and-flap system that generates exceptional lift and maximizes aerodynamic efficiency. Other benefits include reduced fuel consumption, lowered emissions and superb short-field and high-speed performance.
Built for the most discerning passengers, the Global 7500 is the ultimate home office in the sky, featuring ultra-fast internet, four thoughtfully designed cabin zones, a full-size kitchen and a dedicated crew suite.
The Global 7500 defined the future of business aviation, and its industry-leading achievements will soon be furthered with the release of Bombardier’s flagship for a new era: the Global 8000 aircraft.
The Global 8000 is anticipated to have an industry-leading range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94 -- with the Global 8000 flight test vehicle already breaking the speed of sound during testing! The aircraft will also have an ultra-comfortable low cabin altitude of less than 2,900 feet when flying at 41,000 ft.
On May 16, the first production Global 8000 took to the skies for a flawless inaugural flight. It is set for entry into service later this year.
