Don’t miss Bombardier’s 30th annual Free-to-Attend Safety Standdown
Thirty years of elevating aviation safety is a big deal.
Back in 1996, Bombardier’s Safety Standdown got its start as a human factors event created by the Learjet Demonstration Flight Operations team in Wichita, Kansas. Since then, it has evolved into a must-attend industry seminar that welcomes all aviation professionals for three days of free safety-oriented learning – regardless of what aircraft they fly.
I am pleased to announce that registration is now open for Bombardier’s 30th annual Safety Standdown, to be held in person and virtually from Nov. 10-12, 2026. If you are a corporate, commercial or military aviation professional looking to advance operational safety, I encourage you to join us this year in Wichita (or online) for a full slate of educational seminars that will challenge you to learn new concepts, apply them in your work, and share your newfound knowledge with your colleagues.
This year’s event theme is “Evolution Fueled by Legacy,” and it reminds aviation professionals that sharing the wisdom gained from past experiences can result in a safer future for generations to come.
Bombardier has also opened nominations for its annual Safety Standdown Award, which recognizes an aviation professional who has demonstrated an exemplary dedication to improving aviation safety – find nomination details here and submit before Sept. 18!
