Global 8000 certified by Transport Canada, exceeds cabin altitude target

On Nov. 5, 2025, we were thrilled to announce that the fastest business aircraft in the world—our Bombardier Global 8000—received Transport Canada certification, paving the way for entry-into-service this year.

The four-zone aircraft, which went supersonic in testing, has also surpassed its cabin altitude projections. Flying at 41,000 feet, the Global 8000’s cabin altitude is the equivalent of just 2,691 feet—redefining passenger comfort on long haul flights by minimizing the physiological stress typically associated with high-altitude travel.

“Bombardier has worked rigorously and collaboratively with Transport Canada toward certification for the Global 8000,” said Stephen McCullough, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Product Development, Bombardier. “This marks a pivotal milestone for Bombardier, our customers and the entire business aviation industry—solidifying the Global 8000’s position as the unrivaled leader setting a new standard.”

The fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, Bombardier’s Global 8000 aircraft delivers an industry-leading top speed of Mach 0.95 and an unmatched range of 8,000 nautical miles. The agile aircraft demonstrates takeoff and landing performance that is comparable to a light jet, thanks to an advanced wing design that enables it to access 30 per cent more airports than its closest rival.

When unparalleled performance is combined with a luxurious interior and signature smooth ride, the Global 8000 is the clear choice for discerning owners and operators who prioritize speed, comfort and productivity.

European and U.S. certifications for the Global 8000 are now underway, aligned with delivery requirements.
