Aileron inspection program requirements as related to service bulletin compliance
Effectivity: Learjet 40/45/70/75 aircraft
ATA: 27 - Flight Controls
By: Jeff Green – Learjet Maintenance Programs Clarification is needed on whether the following inspection program IRNs are an alternate means of compliance to Learjet aileron inspection service bulletins. They are not; they are separate requirements, and one does not negate the need to do the other.
Learjet would like to clarify requirements for IRNs AE2710049 (Learjet 40/45 Standard Inspection Program), 2710049 (Learjet 40/45 Evolved Maintenance Program (EMP), and 2710050 (Learjet 70/75 Standard Inspection Program) to avoid confusion related to compliance with SB45-27-53 (SB40-27-37) or SB45-27-54 for Learjet 40/45 aircraft and SB75-27-06 (SB70-27-07) for Learjet 70/75 aircraft.
Learjet recommends compliance with the latest revision of the aforementioned Service Bulletins related to your specific aircraft model. To ensure your aircraft continues to meet the minimum requirements for airworthiness, please review the statements below:
Performing the initial or repeat interval of IRN AE2710049/2710049 does not fulfill the requirements for compliance with any revision of SB45-27-53 (SB40-27-37) or SB45-27-54.
Performing the initial or repeat interval of IRN 2710050 does not fulfill the requirements for compliance with any revision of SB75-27-06 (SB70-27-07).
