Bombardier would like to inform operators of the discontinuation of production and support for the Meggitt Securaplane CMX, CAM, and CMZ-03 Standard Definition cameras. Please note that repair services for these products have not been supported since May 2023.

This decision is primarily due to increasing material shortages related to analog camera components, which have been discontinued with no direct replacements available.

For aircraft SN 9130 to 9730, Collins has announced the end of field support, including engineering support, for the Collins CES-5000 systems (ref Collins Doc 523-0836180). As a result, Bombardier advises that no upgrade path to High Definition (HD) cameras is currently planned for these systems.

However, for aircraft equipped with Collins Venue systems, Bombardier offers solutions to upgrade to HD camera systems.

Operators are encouraged to contact their Bombardier Regional Manager to explore available options for optimizing their cabin systems or upgrading to an HD camera solution.

Additionally, if operators wish to remove one or more cameras, or the entire system, Bombardier will provide an engineering package to support this request.
