Horizontal stabilizer alignment decal detaching or missing

Effectivity: Challenger 300, 350 and 3500 aircraft

ATA: 11 - Placard

Bombardier was recently notified that the horizontal stabilizer alignment decal S10235-1 was detached or missing during a maintenance event.

Bombardier reminds operators that a General Repair Order (GREO) R1001122001 rev B is available on the Customer Portal. The effectivity on the document is A/C 20003-20999; this does, however, cover new aircraft tail numbers 21000-22999.

The GREO provides two options to remedy this situation:

  1. The operator has permission to fly without the decal for a maximum of two months; or,

  2. The operator can paint the rectangular shape placard instead of using the decal S10235-1.

We recommend implementing this GREO to help avoid frequently replacing the decal. Should you have further questions, please contact your local Bombardier Field Service Representative (FSR) or the Customer Response Centre (CRC).
