Effectivity: Learjet 40/45/70/75 aircraft

ATA Code: 57 - wings

By Tj Will – Field Support Engineering

Recommended Service Bulletins 40-57-03 and 45-57-10 install stainless steel rub strips at the interface between the overwing fairing and the inboard wing leading edge skin to alleviate chafing damage. In some cases, the RH rub strip has been found to be loose and migrating inboard.

Recommended Service Bulletins SB40-57-08, 45-57-15, 70-57-05 and 75-57-04, released on May 27, 2025, install a stop block along the inboard edge of the RH rub strip to prevent any migration that is out of place. It is recommended to complete the service bulletin at a scheduled maintenance event where the RH overwing fairing is to be removed.
