Global 7500 FBW PFCC software vs. Global 8000

The arrival of the Global 8000 aircraft in the Bombardier family brings the introduction of a new FBW PFCC Software. 

While the PFCC hardware (p/n: 822-2749-700) remains the same, the PFCC software are as follows for the different platforms: 

• Global 7500 PFCC Software p/n: 810-0337-705 

• Global 8000 PFCC Software p/n: 810-0337-706 

To reduce the logistical burden associated with keeping multiple different part numbers at Spares, Bombardier has decided to keep only the Global 8000 PFCC software p/n: 810-0337-706.  

Therefore, all PFCCs ordered at Bombardier Spares will be received with the Global 8000 PFCC software. 

What does this mean for Global 7500 customers? 

1. If you receive a PFCC from Spares containing software p/n: 810-0337-706, the PFCC Fail message will be posted at installation. 

2. If PFCC failure is posted at installation, the Global 7500 PFCC software will need to be loaded as per AMP task BD700-A-J27-04-01-00AAA-752A-A - Primary flight
   control computers Data loading 

3. Once the Global 7500 software is loaded, the PFCC fail message will clear.  

Note: The software contained in PFCCs is not identified on the Collins Certification tag, but only the hardware p/n: 822-2749-700.
