Safety cable installation on the hydraulic system #2 pressure line

This article is to inform operators of the recent release of an In-Service Modification Summary for the installation of the safety cable or lockwire on the hydraulic system #2 pressure line in the aft equipment compartment. 

The hydraulic pressure line in that area is exposed to vibration, which may lead to the loosening of the attachment nut and damage to the hydraulic line and bracket. A modification was introduced in production which safeties the nut to prevent loosening from occurring.  The advisory committee has voted this as a technical issue, requesting it be offered for in-service aircraft. 

We are pleased to announce that IS Modum IS700-29-0005 has been approved and released on the Bombardier Portal. It can be downloaded free of charge to incorporate the change on your aircraft. The modification takes under two man-hours to perform and requires replacement of some standard hardware.
