Bombardier’s FastTrack program reinforces our commitment to workforce development

This month, I am sharing some fantastic news: Bombardier’s FastTrack workforce development program is being expanded to Hartford, Connecticut!

Originally designed in collaboration with Wichita State University, FastTrack is an accelerated aircraft maintenance technician training pathway designed to help candidates obtain their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.

Bombardier technicians in Hartford who have at least 18 months of hands‑on industry experience in either Airframe or Powerplant disciplines – or 30 months of combined experience – are eligible to pursue their FAA certifications. They will receive in-class and hands-on training in association with CT Aero Tech, with support from AdvanceCT and Capital Workforce Partners.

This initiative not only supports experienced professionals who want to advance their careers but also helps strengthen our capacity to deliver exceptional OEM maintenance services to our customers.

The FastTrack program reinforces Bombardier’s commitment to expanding training and career development pathways across its worldwide aftermarket network. In fact, we intend to expand this program to other Bombardier Service Centres across the United States.

Programs like FastTrack play a critical role in ensuring a strong pipeline of qualified technicians who are ready to support Bombardier’s fleet of industry-leading business jets – now and well into the future. It’s just one more example of how we are instilling confidence through the delivery of customer-centric solutions and unmatched support.

Thank you for choosing Bombardier.

Sincerely,
Paul J. Thompson
Vice President, Bombardier Service Centres
