Kicking off our U.S. customer service expansion in the Midwest
Bombardier announces new service centre in Fort Wayne, Indiana during ceremony with local and state officials, Bombardier leadership and airport executives
Bombardier is launching a multi-phase U.S. customer support network expansion with an exciting announcement: Fort Wayne, Indiana has been chosen as the home of our next service centre!
I’m pleased to share that Bombardier is expanding its footprint in the Midwestern United States with a 64,500 sq. ft. maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for Bombardier’s fleet of Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. Located at Fort Wayne International Airport, this new centre is expected to open in the second half of 2026. The hangar will accommodate up to six aircraft for a full range of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, avionics installations and AOG support.
This expansion is more than just a new facility—it reflects Bombardier’s unwavering commitment to our customers, our people and our long-term vision. The U.S. is a key market for us, with nearly 3,000 Bombardier aircraft operating across the country. With growing demand from customers here in the Midwest, this new location means we’ll be right here on the ground to deliver expert OEM support.
Our new service centre in Fort Wayne will bring more than 100 jobs to the region, growing the Bombardier family to ensure that our customers receive the best care, the best service and the best experience in the industry. Our Midwest expansion is part of a larger story, as the first of a series of announcements that underscore our commitment to being closer to where our customers operate, so we can service them better, faster and more reliably. The new Fort Wayne Service Centre will join our existing U.S. facilities in Dallas, Tucson, Hartford, Wichita, and Miami Opa Locka—plus our network of Mobile Response Teams operating from 20 locations nationwide.
After earning the #1 spot in both the 2025 AIN and Professional Pilot product support surveys, our team is laser-focused on setting the benchmark for easy, industry-leading service. Our new facility in Fort Wayne will help us do just that.
