Expanding with intention and Velocity

Five years ago, Bombardier charted a bold new vision: Accelerated global expansion of our services and support network, bringing OEM expertise closer to our customers – no matter where they fly. It’s all about providing customer-centric innovation in everything we do. 

Since then, we’ve delivered. As part of our continued commitment to supporting our customers with convenient service solutions and exceptional care, Bombardier has announced the opening of new service centres, expanded facilities, added new capabilities, and rolled out a comprehensive 24/7 Mobile Repair Team that brings certified OEM experiencewhere our customers operate.  

The latest milestone along our journey is the acquisition of Wilmington, Delaware-based Velocity Maintenance Solutions, a well-respected aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility.  

As part of the new phase of U.S. expansion we announced in 2025, this strategic acquisition sees Velocity’s experienced team, 35,000 sq. ft. hangar, and fleet of 14 mobile response vehicles added to Bombardier’s existing number-one service network.   

I am particularly excited about this development because Velocity Maintenance Solutions is an excellent fit for Bombardier. The organization fosters a culture of excellence with a commitment to delivering incomparable client service. I am thrilled to welcome the Velocity team to the Bombardier family and look forward to supporting them during the transition. 

For our customers, this acquisition means a further expansion of Bombardier’s U.S. services and support network. Looking ahead, we are focused on fuelling our future success and strengthening the mission that guides us: to be our customers’ first choice for aircraft maintenance, modifications and spare parts and deliver on all commitments. 

There’s no doubt that customers have responded positively to our efforts: In 2025, we grew our Services business by 13 per cent year-over-year, the latest conclusively showing in a steady trajectory of upward growth.
