Learn, apply and share new concepts at the 2025 Safety Standdown

Bombardier’s 29th annual Safety Standdown is nearly ready to roll in Wichita, Kansas, from Nov. 11-13!

All aviation professionals are invited to attend this free event, offering valuable safety insights, priceless networking opportunities and the opportunity to “Own the Outcome” of their actions. Safety Standdown encourages all of us to take responsibility for every decision, procedure and moment that impacts aviation safety.

We’ve got a full agenda this year, packed with thought-provoking presenters and timely workshops. Here are just a few highlights:

  • Perennial favourite Dr. Tony Kern of Convergent Performance takes us back to the pirate age, with lessons on personal accountability, leadership and high performance when the stakes are high

  • Captain Keith Wolzinger of Paragon Airways discusses how to make the jump to business aviation after retiring from the airlines

  • Jason Starke of Business Aviation Safety Consortium explores practical approaches to safety performance monitoring and measurement for business aviation flight departments

  • Jennifer Pickerel of Aviation Personnel International and Robert Patton of Highbrow Safety Werks discuss how to harness psychological safety to reimagine team dynamics

  • Bombardier Demonstration Pilot and Safety Manager, Dave Strassburg, shows us how to “Own the Outcome” through sharing the concepts learned at Safety Standdown

That’s just a taste of what’s in store at the 2025 Bombardier Safety Standdown! Whether you join us in Wichita or attend virtually, this promises to be another standout event in the name of aviation safety.

Remember, there is no cost to attend Safety Standdown and everyone is welcome.
