Bombardier would like to inform operators that several Electronic Flight Bag systems have been discontinued. Please refer to Table 1 below for a list of affected systems.

Collins Aerospace has announced the end of field support for EFB-6000, including Engineering Support for the Collins CES-5000 systems (Ref: Collins Doc 523-0836180).

Bombardier has elected not to replace these systems. Instead, we recommend modifying the existing EFB installation to accommodate an assessed tablet solution. This approach provides operators with the flexibility to use the system as a partial or full EFB solution, enabling flight crews to:

  • Access flight plans;

  • Utilize productivity enhancement tools; and

  • Improve overall efficiency and operational productivity.

 Operators are encouraged to contact their Bombardier Regional Manager to explore available options for optimizing their Electronic Flight Bag experience.

 Following this announcement, the Service Bulletins listed in Table 2 will be removed from the myBombardier Customer Portal.
