To support maintenance activities, IS Modsum IS604-28-0003 Rev. A and                                 Drawing K604DX-62001 Rev. B have been updated and are now available on the CIC Portal.
The revised drawing now includes the part number for the Medeco® lock cylinder O-ring, making it easier to identify and procure the O-ring required when transferring an existing lock cylinder to a replacement gravity fuel filler cap
When replacing a gravity fuel filler cap, operators can retain their existing keys by transferring the existing Medeco® lock cylinder from the current fuel filler cap to the replacement cap. The lock cylinder does not need to be replaced and can be installed in the replacement fuel filler cap using the O-ring identified on the kit drawing.

Summary

This update to IS604-28-0003 – Kit – Main and Center Fuel Tanks – Fuel Cap Lock Rekey provides clear identification of the Medeco® lock cylinder O-ring required during gravity fuel filler cap replacement. By reusing the existing lock cylinder to retain the same keys and installing it with the O-ring identified on Drawing K604DX-62001 Rev. B (Item 10 P/N: MS29513-013), operators can avoid unnecessary replacement of lock components and simplify maintenance activities.
