Service Bulletin Reactivation Notice for SB 100-34-36 and 605-34-019

By: Richard Lanthier, Technical Services Bombardier is pleased to inform customers that Service Bulletins (SB) 100-34-36 (Modification - Navigation - Installation of the PRO LINE 21 Advanced Upgrade option (C34-602)) and 605-34-019 (Modification - Navigation - Installation of the PRO LINE 21 Advanced Upgrade), previously placed on hold in April 2025, have now been officially reactivated.
These bulletins were suspended due to the obsolescence of the AFD-5220E display. Following further assessment, both SBs have now been reintroduced for customer evaluation and implementation. Customers are encouraged to refer to Info Sheet 3 included with each SB for additional details.
SB 100-34-36 – Reactivated
Due to the obsolescence of AFD-5220(E) P/N 822-1917-30X, there is an inherent risk associated with upgrading these units. If an AFD unit is determined to be unrepairable, replacement with AFD-5220E P/N: 822-1917-32X will be required at additional cost.
The applicable replacement part numbers are listed in the Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (AIPC).
SB 605-34-019 – Reactivated
Due to the obsolescence of AFD-5220(E) P/N 822-1917-20X, similar upgrade risks apply. If an AFD unit is deemed unrepairable, replacement with AFD-5220E P/N: 822-1917-22X will be required at additional cost.
Installation of the new unit can be accomplished in accordance with SB 605-31-009.
Both Service Bulletins are now available for incorporation in accordance with standard maintenance planning and scheduling practices.
