FBW Global 7500 PFCC software on Global 8000

A Full Throttle blog article named “Global 7500 FBW PFCC software vs. Global 8000” was released May 20, 2025. This article explained the impact of installing Global 8000 PFCC software on the Global 7500 and what must be done to properly return to service after a PFCC replacement under this scenario. 

Further, this article provides details on what must be performed in the opposite scenario, where a Global 7500 PFCC needs to be installed on a Global 8000 aircraft. 

This scenario is unlikely since a replacement PFCC ordered at Spares will always be received with the Global 8000 PFCC software. 

However, if a customer wants to install a PFCC coming from a Global 7500 on a Global 8000, then the following procedure must be performed for a successful installation: 

• Get the Global 8000 PFCC Software from the Software Vault and install it on a memory stick AMP task  

• Follow the instructions per RIL GX-0769. 

• Remove the PFCC from the Global 7500 and install it on the Global 8000 per AMP.
